Dave Cole DipPFS - Paraplanning Team Manager

Dave has been been paraplanning for over 10 years and loves getting into the thick of technical queries, the weirder the better. With exceptional leadership skills, Dave manages the day to day workload, supports and coaches the team.

He is diploma qualified, working towards Chartered status. He has vast experience and a thirst for technical knowledge. Feel free to ask him about CGT - he absolutely loves it (we aren’t sure why).

In his paraplanning work, Dave takes on the more complex cases, providing a comprehensive and personal service to our clients. He will always offer to be a sounding board and often finds himself working through ideas and options in initial case calls with our clients.

Specialities: Tax planning, pensions, investments, spreadsheets, weird technical rules that no one has ever heard of, mentoring.

Zoe Rudd - Paraplanner

Sorry we don’t have a profile picture yet - Zoe has been so busy learning the Unity ways that we have not had time to stop for a snapshot.

Zoe has worked in financial services for sixteen years, ten years of which has been spent working alongside financial planners in several different roles.

With an eye for detail and a unique ability to look at cases from different angles, it’s no surprise that Zoe enjoys carrying out detailed research. She is particularly interested in ethical investments and has a passion for both human and animal rights movements.

Zoe takes great pride in creating client friendly, personalised reports which simplify technical information, making them easier to digest.  She is currently working towards her diploma in financial planning and love learning new things.

Specialities: Report writing, protection, lifetime cash-flow planning, investment research.

Shela Winstanley - Paraplanner

Shela has over 25 years experiences within Financial Services in a variety of roles. Having spent over four years in IFA administration she has made the leap into Paraplanning and never looked back.

Whilst she still considers herself a novice, Shela has a natural talent for paraplanning based on her accuracy and relentless approach to gathering the right information. In her first few months at Unity, she has absorbed new information like a sponge and very quickly established herself as an asset to the team.

During her training, Shela will be focused on supporting the team with data gather and research. This not only provides a great base of knowledge but helps us to provide high quality reports more quickly.

Shela is currently working towards her diploma in financial planning and loves learning new things.

Specialities: Data gather, teamwork, managing relationships with clients and providers, organisation, proofing and quality checking.
